CONCORD — Police are looking for the ringleader of a group that attacked three men, stabbing two of them, in front of a liquor store Sunday, police said. The stabbing victims were treated at a local hospital and are expected to recover from their injuries, said Concord police Cpl. Kerry Cerletti. A 21-year-old Concord man was inside Three Star Food and Liquor in the 1100 block of Meadow Lane about 12:20 a.m. when another man demanded money from him, Cerletti said. The Concord man ignored him, continued with his purchase, left the store and got into his car. In the parking lot, the man who demanded money, now accompanied by a half-dozen men and women, pulled the Concord man out of his car and started punching him, Cerletti said. The victim got free from the fracas and went back into the store, where he phoned two male relatives at a home in the neighborhood. When the victim's relatives — both Concord residents, ages 30 and 43 — showed up at the parking lot, a brawl ensued between the two groups. During the fight, the man believed to have started the altercation pulled out a knife and began stabbing the victim's two relatives, Cerletti said. The fight broke up, and the victim and his relatives made their way back to the neighborhood home where they had come from and called police. It does not appear that the assailants and victims knew each other, Cerletti said. There was also no immediate indication that the Advertisement Click here to find out more!
